The IRS, in “e-News for Tax Professionals” Notice No. 2009-42, is reminding all tax practitioners that there will be a free webinar on October 27, 2009, on the IRS e-File Program.
The program is designed to explain the benefits of e-filing to CPAs, professional tax preparers and other tax practitioners with the online discussions led by a panel of tax practitioners currently utilizing the e-filing program. Topics these tax professionals will cover include:
- How they started participating in the IRS e-file program
- How e-filing has helped them become more efficient and productive
- How e-filing has reduced their expenses
- How offering e-file has helped them increase their business overall
Tax practitioners wanting to participate should pre-register no later than October 26, as connectivity will be limited. The webinar will be presented at four difference times during the day and is open to participants nationally and certificates of completion will be given to those who finish the webinar. The IRS will make a video of the webinar available on their website after the event.
Additional information is available on the IRS website at the “Internal Revenue Service Webinar” registration site (http://cs.sbtv.com/IRSWebinarreg)
